How to measure the size of your head

Thought it would be good to show people who dont know the size of their head how to measure it.

If you have a soft fabric measuring tape, you can measure like the picture below.

If you don't have one of these, take a piece of yarn or string and measure like the picture below, then cut and measure next to a ruler or tape measure to get your measurement.

Once you have your size you can use the chart below for an estimate on what size hat you need. You will need to compensate for the Freddy mask if you plan on wearing one under the hat.

I'm going to have to double check mine soon before I order from Corey. I can't remember if mine was nearer 22 or 23. The last time I checked was some time last year when I ordered a part 3 Jason hood from Bellamy.

I'm a 7 1/8 fitted baseball cap, would you guys suggest getting a large fedora made from JackCapers? Or anyone else with a 7 1/8 head and a James mask want to chime in?

Don't have string, a ruler, or a soft measuring tape hahaha... I guess to the store I go

I wear the same size that Bullwinkle does (7 1/2) and got a XXX-Large wool fedora to go with my James silicone last year. I possibly could've gone smaller, but the silicone held the hat in place quite nicely.

Nice, I just noticed this. One thing to keep in mind if your planning on using this chart for one of my hats though, I gut my hats out so they're actually a little bigger than the "norm" and you should always tell me your size in inches or go off my size chart before ordering. Its not an exact science since fitted hats are one size, they may be a little loose or fit perfectly, it all depends, there are a few factors involved (head size/shape, mask thickness, preference) that make it this way. I've sold and shipped 91 hats so far (working on 92 and 93 now) with only one size complaint and even then it was from a measurement they gave me
