If you're going to go to the trouble of paying for licensing fees and expect to see a return on your money, you better make sure it's the best mask available.
True. The three main areas here are...

Ultimate fit & build quality (thickness, lip cupping, highly accurate sharp trimming of the eyeholes, mouth).
    Robert likeness.
    Highly detailed scarring & paintjob.

A higher price could be more justified, but for that higher premium to appease the fans, it would have to be THE grail-piece of silicone Freddy masks.

As a former spfx Freddy owner of several of them my feedback to you for that kind of money is a darker paint job and thicker pulls of silicone will make it sell well. Even the second generation spfx Freddy wasn't as thick as I would have liked it to be.
One, two, freddys coming for you....

Immortal Masks Is Officially In the Freddy Mask Business

I think it looks really nice. Granted it's been a while since I've seen a picture or watched a video, but to me it looked like Robert's Freddy as much as a Darkride does on most people. Will be interested to see actual production copies when they become available and people get them in their hands. I don't think "going through the trouble" of getting licensed is anything along the lines of a negative thing. They will be able to publicly advertise their product without fear of receiving a cease and desist and will ultimately have access to a significantly larger audience than this forum or that darkriders group. Could lead to bigger and better things but I think it's pretty cool already really.

Not seeing a return on your money certainly isn't a positive thing.

And as far as having just as much of a Robert likeness as a Darkride....

....there are obvious stark differences. The nose is more bulbous instead of flat, the brow and cheekbones are not pronounced enough to give the cheeks that sunken-in look, and there's no signature Robert sneer like a Darkride. Like I said, a nice mask, but not Darkride quality in terms of a Robert likeness.

I disagree I think it looks more like Robert. Robert doesn't have that ridiculous bridge of his nose as Freddy that darkride's does, as far as cheek bones are concerned, that can change with wearer as can the scowl.

Darkride's don't change much, unless you've got an enormous head. That's one of the things that make them so appealing.

Maybe it's just me, but I still think the new WFX part 4 looks as much like Robert as any other mask sculpt I've seen..
I do like the mouth movement I've seen in the videos of the Immortal mask though. Darkride is truly amazing work, but they seem to look a bit baggy & loose on a lot of people.. Not hating, just my observation.

^^. Truth is. You're not gonna go wrong with any of these masks.. I first tried to do a Freddy costume about 10 years ago.. Before most of the Pro glove makers & Silicon masks were available online.. Needless to say, all of these are a massive upgrade.. Freddy was hard to pull off then unless you knew a professional makeup artist.

    Halloween 2005..

For sure. '95 was my first haunt and I had to do my own makeup. Two hours of liquid latex application burning your eyes was no fun, but it was all there was. So glad I have a Darkride now.
